Simple & Sustainable Wellness Plan
Not every company has the time or budget to run a challenge every month. The Simple & Sustainable Wellness Plan keeps things light: one challenge per quarter, each lasting two to eight weeks. That is enough to keep wellness visible all year without overloading HR or participants.
The plan comes in two versions. Plan A – Active Engagement Path uses individual activity targets for teams that like a clear personal goal. Plan B – Balanced Wellness Path focuses on consistency and collective goals and ends the year with a holistic points challenge. Pick the one that suits your team, or mix quarters from both. Each challenge has a standard target and an advanced target for those who want more.
Table of Contents

Activity type: Collective calories challenge
Standard target: 2,300 kcal × number of participants × number of days

Standard target: 5 km a day
Advanced target: 8 km a day
Why it works: summer is the best season to build a daily habit of covering distance outdoors. See the distance challenge.
Q4: Exercise Empowerment
Duration: 2–8 weeks
Activity type: Exercise time challenge
Standard target: an average of 30 minutes of exercise a day
Advanced target: an average of 45 minutes a day

2. Plan B: Balanced Wellness Path
Q1: Consistent Conditioning
Duration: 2–8 weeks
Activity type: Exercise time consistency challenge
Standard target: 30 minutes of exercise a day
Advanced target: 45 minutes of exercise a day

Q2: Step Spectacular
Duration: 2–8 weeks
Activity type: Total steps challenge
Standard target: 8,500 steps × number of days
Advanced target: 12,000 steps × number of days
Why it works: spring and early summer make walking easy and enjoyable for everyone.
Q3: Collective Distance Drive
Duration: 2–8 weeks
Activity type: Collective distance challenge
Standard target: 5 km × number of participants × number of days
Advanced target: 8 km × number of participants × number of days
Why it works: a shared distance goal keeps the team connected through the holiday season – everyone contributes when they can.
Q4: Wellness Points Pursuit
Duration: 2–8 weeks
Activity type: Wellness points challenge
Activities: water, sleep, mindfulness, exercise time, daylight, screen-free time and – for those who choose it – an overnight fast
Standard target: on average, half of the daily activities completed (50% of the maximum daily points × number of days × number of participants)
Advanced target: 65% of the maximum daily points
Why it works: a holistic points challenge ends the year with balance – rest, calm and healthy habits count as much as exercise. Read how YuMuuv's point system works.
