YuMuuv's Point System Explained: How Wellness Points Work
Steps are great, but wellness is more than walking. YuMuuv's wellness points system lets you reward many kinds of healthy behavior in one challenge – workouts, yoga, mindfulness, sleep, water, reading or anything else your team cares about. Here is how it works for admins and participants.

What Is the Point System?
In a points challenge, every activity that counts earns points, and all points add up toward a shared goal or a leaderboard. Because different activities can count, people with very different interests and fitness levels can compete on equal terms.
How Admins Set Up a Points Challenge
- Choose the activities. Pick from the available activities or create your own custom ones – from walking and exercise minutes to company-specific habits.
- Set point values. Decide how many points each activity earns, for example 200 steps = 1 point or 20 points for a habit marked as done.
- Set the goal and duration. For example, 4,000 points in 30 days.
- Launch and communicate. Explain clearly which activities count and how points are earned.
- Monitor and adjust. Follow participation and adjust values for the next challenge based on feedback.

How Participants Earn Points
- Automatic tracking – measurable activities such as steps or exercise minutes sync from your phone or wearable and turn into points.
- Mark as done – habits such as drinking eight glasses of water, a mindfulness session or reading are marked as done each day for a set number of points.
- Manual entries – some activities can be logged manually.
Why Use Points?
- More inclusive – everyone can contribute in their own way, not just the fastest walkers.
- Holistic – physical, mental and social wellbeing can all count.
- Motivating – visible progress and friendly competition encourage consistency.
- Flexible – adapt the activities to your culture and goals.
Tips for Participants
- Mix it up – combine movement, mindfulness and healthy habits.
- Aim for small daily goals rather than big bursts.
- Log habits every day so you do not forget.
- Join a team for extra motivation.
Tips for Admins
- Fit the activities to your culture and what employees ask for.
- Explain the rules in your launch message and the challenge description.
- Recognize progress with shout-outs or rewards – see wellness incentives that work.
- Ask for feedback and refine the point values next time.
