How do you want to form your teams?
A group challenge works best when teams feel like teams. Use the structure you already have, or mix people up so colleagues who rarely meet end up on the same side. Pick an option to see the same 153 people ranked three ways.
- Teams are ranked on average per person, so team size doesn’t decide the winner
- Everyone also has a personal ranking and daily goal
- Works for any challenge: steps, walking, sleep, wellness points or your own

Any challenge can be a team challenge
From a team health challenge to corporate wellness challenges built around your own values, most companies start with a ready-made challenge and add their own later. Either way, it runs in the same app with the same leaderboards.
Use a ready-made challenge
Choose a type, set the dates, goal and teams, and invite people. Everything else is ready.
Build your own challenge
Decide what counts and what it is worth. Mix activities from the list, or add things that matter to your company.
- Choose the activitiesFor example walking, sleep, water and volunteering hours
- Give each one points10 for a 30-minute walk, 5 for 8 glasses of water
- Set the goal and teamsBy department, office, country or your own mix
Built for the whole company, not just the sporty few
Works with what people already wear
Connect once and steps, distance and workouts sync on their own. For sleep, water or mindfulness, logging takes one tap.
Works on iPhone and Android.

Getting started
What is a group challenge app?
An app where colleagues or friends take part in a challenge together, on their own and in teams. Everyone tracks their progress in the app, and team and personal leaderboards show how each group is doing.
How do we set up teams?
By department, office or country, or your own mix. You set up teams in the admin dashboard and people join their team when they sign up.
How are teams of different sizes ranked fairly?
On average per person, not totals, so a team of 8 can beat a team of 80.
How much work is it for HR?
You set up the challenge in the admin dashboard and invite people. A success manager helps you plan the first one. On G2, customers report going live in under a month on average.
Challenges
Which team challenges can we run?
18 ready-made types, from steps, walking and cycling to sleep, mindfulness, water and wellness points, plus custom challenges you design yourself.
How long should a team challenge last?
Two to six weeks works for most groups. Four weeks is a common choice: long enough to build a habit, short enough to keep the energy up.
Can we run more than one challenge?
Yes. You can run as many challenges as you like during your period, one after another or side by side.
Can employees invite family and friends?
Yes. Employees can invite family and friends to private challenges.
Joining in
Do people need a wearable?
No. The app counts steps on the phone, and habits are logged in a tap. People who have a wearable can connect it.
Which devices and apps work with YuMuuv?
Apple Watch, Garmin, Fitbit, Polar, Suunto, Apple Health, Google Fit, Health Connect and Google Health, plus iPhone and Android phones.
Can teammates talk to each other?
Yes. Each challenge has a chat where people post messages and photos and cheer each other on.
Which languages is the app available in?
47 languages, on the web, iOS and Android.
Security and cost
Is YuMuuv secure and accessible?
Yes. YuMuuv is SOC 2 Type II and GDPR compliant, and the app meets WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility standards. Security documentation is available for your IT team.
What can employees and HR see?
Colleagues see the leaderboards and the challenge chat. HR sees participation and challenge results in the admin dashboard.
How do we measure the results?
The admin dashboard shows sign-ups and participation by team during the challenge, and you can export the results for leadership.
What does it cost?
You pay only for employees who take part, with unlimited challenges during your period. See pricing or ask for a quote on the demo.
What could your teams do together?
Pick a challenge and move the sliders. Sign-ups use YuMuuv’s 53% average adoption on G2. Steps use 8,448 a day, the average for a YuMuuv participant; the other challenges assume everyone who joins reaches a typical daily goal.
