These updates (available from 2025, but currently also on demand), are designed to empower administrators with advanced communication tools while giving users greater control over how they receive updates and notifications.

Employees need timely updates to stay informed and motivated, while administrators require intuitive tools to connect with diverse groups and teams. YuMuuv’s latest updates address these needs by bridging the communication gap and making wellness challenges more engaging than ever before. Effective communication begins with choice, and YuMuuv’s enhanced Preferences (right corner inside Inbox view) section puts that choice directly in the hands of our users. We understand that people consume information in different ways—some prefer immediate push notifications, while others rely on email summaries. With this update, users can now customize how and when they receive updates, ensuring a distraction-free and personalized experience.

When users navigate to their profile’s Preferences menu, they’re greeted with an array of toggles, each corresponding to a specific type of notification. Here’s what they can manage:

Push Notifications: These real-time alerts ensure users stay connected to the app.

  • Announcements: From administrators, keeping users informed and reminded about upcoming events or changes.
  • Notifications: Sent by YuMuuv to user regards to important updates or notices. 
  • Chat: Allowing users be upt to date with challenge chat.

Email Notifications: Email remains a powerful tool for reaching users who prefer less intrusive updates. Options include:

  • Announcements: From administrators, keeping users informed and reminded about upcoming events or changes.
  • Incentivized Reviews: Emails encouraging users to provide feedback, often tied to rewards or milestones.
  • Newsletters: Once a month sent by YuMuuv emails packed with tips, challenge updates, and wellness inspiration.

Stay Connected with the YuMuuv Inbox

YuMuuv introduces a robust Inbox feature designed to keep users informed and connected with their workplace wellness challenges. The Inbox is divided into two main sections: Announcements, which are messages sent by administrators, and Notifications, which include updates from YuMuuv.

Users can view these messages directly in the app, ensuring they stay up to date with key updates, challenges, and events. Even if push notifications are turned off, these messages remain accessible within the Inbox, so users never miss critical information. However, for the best experience, it’s recommended to enable push notifications. This ensures timely alerts and makes it easier to engage with updates as they happen.

The Announcements section is particularly powerful for administrators, as it allows them to communicate targeted messages directly to specific groups, teams, or regions. Users will see the title, message, and any accompanying visuals or call-to-action buttons, making it easy to engage with new challenges or initiatives.

The Notifications section complements this by providing automated updates about achievements, milestones, and general activity within the app, offering a comprehensive view of all communications in one place. This cohesive approach ensures no message gets overlooked, enhancing user engagement and connectivity within wellness programs.

To support them, YuMuuv has introduced a streamlined Announcements feature that allows admins to create, schedule, and send targeted messages effortlessly. To get started, admins can navigate to the Announcements dashboard by clicking the top-right menu on the app or platform. From there, they’ll find an intuitive interface that displays all past announcements in an organized list format. This overview includes titles, scheduled times, and recipients, making it easy to manage existing announcements or plan future ones. At the heart of this feature is the Create Announcement button—a green beacon of simplicity located prominently within the dashboard. With just a click, admins can begin crafting their announcement, guided step-by-step through a structured process that ensures clarity and efficiency.

How to Create an Announcement

Creating an announcement in YuMuuv is as straightforward as it is powerful. Here’s a detailed walkthrough of the process. Every great announcement starts with a clear, concise title and an engaging message. Admins can:
    •    Use the Title field to summarize the announcement’s purpose in just a few words.
    •    Write a detailed Message that provides all the necessary context. This could range from announcing a new challenge to sharing motivational tips or celebrating milestones.

For example, a title like “New Year, New Challenge” paired with a message such as “From January 1st, we’re launching an exciting step challenge for our entire workforce! Click below to join and start the year strong!” captures attention and inspires action.

To make announcements more appealing, admins can upload an image that complements the message. Whether it’s a photo of a team hiking, a graphic of a fitness goal, or even an inspiring quote, visuals can significantly enhance engagement. The Call-to-Action (CTA) feature is a game-changer, giving admins the ability to direct users to specific actions or pages. Admins can:
    •    Add a CTA Text, such as “Join the Challenge” or “Learn More.”
    •    Provide a CTA URL that links to a challenge page, blog post, or external resource.

This feature bridges the gap between announcement and action, encouraging users to immediately engage with the content. For example, clicking “Join the Challenge” could take users directly to a signup page, streamlining their participation.

Schedule the Announcement

Flexibility is key to effective communication, and YuMuuv lets admins schedule announcements to align with their team’s needs. Admins can select a specific date and time for the announcement to go live, ensuring it reaches users at the optimal moment—whether it’s the start of the week, just before lunch breaks, or early in the morning to kickstart the day.

    •    Challenges: Send announcements to users participating in a particular challenge.
    •    Teams: Focus on select teams within the organization.

    •    Languages: Communicate in the user’s preferred language, ensuring inclusivity and clarity.

For instance, an admin could filter recipients to notify only the “Marketing Team” in “Costa Rica” who are participating in the “Step into 2024” challenge, ensuring the message is hyper-relevant.

Notifications can be customized to align with the user preferences discussed earlier. Admins can choose to send the announcement via push or email notifications, but it will depend on the users choice. This dual-channel approach ensures that no one misses out, regardless of their preferred method of communication.

Preview and Send

Before sending, admins have the option to preview the announcement, providing a snapshot of how it will appear on users’ devices. Additionally, the system estimates the number of recipients who will receive the message, broken down by notification type (push or email). Once satisfied, admins can click Send, and the announcement is instantly deployed or scheduled for later.

The ability to create and manage announcements effectively is a game-changer for administrators. Here’s why:
